Despina Plakantonaki is an accomplished Architect and Civil Engineer with a proven track record in delivering international complex, high-value projects. With a Master’s degree in Architecture from Columbia University, New York, and a Diploma in Civil Engineering from Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, her multidisciplinary foundation connects innovative design with strong technical execution.
Over the course of her career, Despina has led and contributed to a diverse portfolio of residential, commercial, retail, and infrastructure projects, from bespoke interiors to multi-million euro developments. Her expertise spans every stage of the design and construction process, and her work is defined by precision, creativity, and a commitment to sustainability.
She is certified as a BIM Level 2 Project and Task Information Manager (BS1192/2) by BRE Academy in London having played a key role in the research and advancement of BIM strategies and workflows across international teams.
Despina is also a registered member of AIA (American Institute of Architects) as an Associate Architect, Technical Chamber of Greece as a Civil Engineer and USGBG (US Green Building Council).
Fluent in four languages and skilled in a wide range of design and technical software, Despina brings global insight, strong leadership, and a results-driven mindset to every project she undertakes.
Despina shares a passion for photography. She has attended architectural and creative photography courses at Central Saint Martins in London, Benaki Museum in Athens and Virginia Museum of Fine Arts in Richmond, VA.
